I read about this forum on Horseland and I thought it may be interesting, so here I am ^_^.

Anyway, my name's Alex, I'm a girl XP. I love animals a lot, especially dogs. I'm an aspiring vet.
I used to have two dogs, Pumpkin and Woody. They were father and daughter, Woody being Pumpkin's daddy . Woody died about two years ago at 15, and Pumpkin died November of '07 at age 11, so it was just a few months ago. They both had to be put down due to cancer related illnesses, and really bothersome tumors that made their lives miserable. Anyway, besides sad stories-- I don't own my own lab, but I've got a dog walking business where I walk a yellow lab. Her name's Sable & she's 7. She's really playful and extremely sweet. I'd really love one of my own, but I'm not used to really hyper dogs needing a lot of play time--and through walking Sable and doing some reading I realized that that's what labs are like. I guess I'm mainly here to hear about peoples' labs and their needs, dispositions, etc.
