My 8 month old Lab Weston started vomiting about 9 days ago. I took him to the vet on the second day and nothing showed up on the x-ray. He gave him fluids and prescribed Reglan. He seemed to regain his appetite after a couple of days (not back to normal, but he would at least eat selective foods and move around a little bit). After a couple of days where he seemed to be on the way to recovery, he is now back to vomiting and not moving around much at all. My question is, does anyone know which test(s) I should expect the vet to perform in order to diagnose the problem? I am starting to get worried about how long this has been going on. The vet I originally took him to suggested that the next steps might be blood work and/or an upper GI. Thanks for the suggestions.
